1970’s, 1980’s, and 1990’s….

There was a time when Connecticut had 35 chess clubs. National championships were being held

in downtown Hartford, and chess masters were flying in from all across the U.S.

Connecticut has its own Chess Magazine with more than a thousand players on the mailing list.
